The challenge

I was approached by Four Inches, a specialist tone of voice and copy agency based in Stockholm for support with making Lesslie’s translated English sound more conversational and written in a native tone. Lesslie is a fintech company with a digital-first product. Its copy had been digitally translated, resulting in English website copy that felt a little lumpy and artificial.

The solution

I rewrote the English website copy to sound conversational, easy to understand and engaging. I managed the complex financial themes and language without falling back on jargon, and made sure the copy could be read well on screen or on a phone. 

The success

The client was so happy with the copy that it went live with no amends. I went on to work with Four Inches on several Swedish-to-English simplification and tone of voice projects.
